Dogtown Vineyard is a dry farmed, head trained site in the rolling Clements Hills sub-AVA of Lodi that suites winemaker Tegan Passalaqua’s style perfectly, his style being one of minimal intervention while achieving balance and brightness. This deeply complex, ripe side Zinfandel shows concentrated black cherry aromas and flavors that don’t cover up the complementary notes of tea, lemon zest and cocoa notes. There’s no trace of heat to distract, just pure Zinfandel richness and joy. Beautifully and boldly realized wine!
