Louis M. Martini, Alexander Valley (Sonoma County, California) Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

 I’ve written about this wine before, because it keeps getting sent forward at competitions that I run, which tells me that I’m doing a good job at selecting judges.  What they didn’t know is that this is a dark side expression of Alexander Valley fruit, more blackberry and black cherry than the usual red fruit-driven style.  It works again – no surprise at all.  A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 Monterey International Wine Competition.
