Bottled as a tribute to a trailblazing winemaker, this wine serves the purpose well by showing restraint and panache. It’s a Rhône inspired blend that keeps its Languedoc character thanks to 15% Carignan in the mix, giving a sunny Southern French lift to the Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault. There’s great integration through the finish, and it is certainly a bargain considering its stature. A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 Monterey International Wine Competition.
