This wine is rather tightly wound at present, but it promises to unravel itself with distinction after a little cellar time or a long decanting. Classic Alexander Valley blackberry and red currants are joined by bright oak spice, and a firm grip carries things through in a way that tells me that soft elegance is in the future.
