Like a fine Amarone, a hint of raisin on the nose of this glass of Petite Sirah fools you into expecting some sweetness on the palate. Instead you get a classic dry varietally correct glass in all its blueberry and diesel fuel glory. The winery is in Texas, but I suspect the fruit here is coming from Paso Robles. No matter – what you get is worth the admission price. A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition.
