Elk Cove has been working with Pinot Gris since 1985, and today it is the winery’s most popular wine. Unlike many wineries that have gone with a slightly sweet style, Elk Grove continues to offer a Pinot Gris that is versatile while being true to type. Light yellow in color, it displays the typical aromas of pear and green apple with a lovely hint of ginger. It is medium bodied with a smooth, slightly plush texture that is a hallmark of Pinot Gris. In the delightful flavors and finish, there’s a touch of minerality to add interest to the slightly acidic aftertaste.
