By Norm Roby

Amulet is a brand launched in 2018 by veteran winemaker Dwight Sick.  While continuing as winemaker at Moraine Winery, he produces small lot Syrah along with a Rhône-style red blend and this captivating white blend.  Sourced from vineyards on the Naramata Bench, this white is 87% Viognier and 13% Marsanne.  It was barrel fermented and aged on the lees for six months.  Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it offers ripe white peach and honey with floral notes in its expansive aroma.  It delivers peach and that beeswax flavor associated with Marsanne, but all in a rich, unctuous, pleasing way.  Finishing with good length and a delightful citrus aftertaste, it is the complete package.  110 cases made.
