Optio is a new producer to me, and one to watch based on this big Petite Sirah. Layers of black and blue berries ride well chosen oak toast and spice levels and nicely managed ripeness into a finish where a little heat keeps the fruit bright. It’s bold, and it’s working! A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 Sommelier Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
