This wine is made in a very ripe style that is reined in quite well, with bright acidity keeping the rich blackberry compote, cassis and pie spice notes from flying apart. A little chocolate covered cherry note shines through in the finish. I would go for the cheese tray with this — it will work from the mild side to stinky side. Contains Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
