Merlot somehow still gets a bad rap from the public at large, which is quite unfortunate. Wines like this one from Windsor Vineyards should be used to quell the fears of the haters who think Merlot can’t be structured, complex and delicious. This mix of fruit and spice is compelling, and racy acidity keeps the flavor pumping through a long finish that keeps the complexity to the end. Bravo!
