B. Wise is the less-expensive franchise of Brion wines, both owned by Brion Wise. This wine has a mix of red and black flavors, and on the initial tasting it seems more like a Bordeaux blend than a denizen of the Rhone Valley, although some of the Syrah earthiness and tanginess does arise the following day. On opening, it is dominated by tart berries and a granular, full-bodied texture with well-integrated tannins.
