Tyrus Evans, Columbia Valley (Washington) 2021

 Tyrus Evan is Oregon wine-making legend Ken Wright’s Washington wine project.  Ken doesn’t shy away from making bold wines and that style aligns nicely with Washington fruit’s power.  This wine is rich with dark fruit, hickory smoked beef jerky, and baking spice.  While many Washington wines with this quality sit over $30 a bottle, you can find this one in the mid-twenties, an absolute steal.
