Kumeu River focuses on high quality Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. Their Rays Road is a single-vineyard Chardonnay planted in limestone soils. The wine’s minerality comes through beautifully and compliments the bright acidity, tart and tropical fruit notes. The winemaker uses old neutral French oak barrels to help round out the wine and, with such high acidity, it’s needed. This wine is perfect for seafood and light sauced dishes.
