Always one of the biggest big ones when it comes to Paso Robles Zinfandel, the Mountain bottling drives with intention. Raisin box aromas (imagine the smell of an empty box with the fruit residue) backed hints of clove toffee lead to a bold palate. It’s foot on the gas all the way here, with a hot blast of deep mixed berry and toasty oak in the finish. Fans of full throttle style will love this, and I’m not arguing against it.
