There aren’t many varietally labeled Grenache offerings from this part of California, and this one takes its rightful spot as one of the best. Winemaker Hugh Chappelle gives it a Pinot Noir style treatment, and the result brings lively strawberry rhubarb pie aromas with notes of white pepper and brown spice. All these elements make themselves known as palate flavors in fully integrated fashion, and as the tannins fold in over the next few years, the current vibrance will turn to elegance. Well done! Contains 19% Mourvedre.
