One problem with the success of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is that they are so ubiquitous that some are underpriced. That’s the case with this wine from Babich, one of the most-respected family wineries in the country, but whose wines tend to be constantly undervalued. But who are we to question good luck? This is a delicious wine, with excellent mouth feel, a crisp and creamy variety of green fruits and a bit of almonds in the finish. While not an overly complex wine, its key notes ring very true. It’s in the same quality range as $25 to $40 bottles. You won’t be disappointed if you are a Sauvignon Blanc lover.
