The expressive aromatics and savory notes suggest the Pinot Nero must be planted in a cool site. Castello di Ama has managed to seamlessly combine the Janus-like fruitiness and savory side of Pinot Noir. Castello di Ama’s signature, a suave texture and gorgeous length, is apparent in Il Chiuso. It is a delight to drink this mid-weight wonder now.
