This is the best iteration of this bottling that I have tasted to date. It is solidly Cabernet Sauvignon, with spot-on varietal fruit character accented by moderate oak toast, supple texture, fine balance and a long food friendly finish. The choice of adding a healthy dollop of Malbec was a wise one — it fleshes the package up nicely and adds to the cassis dominant profile, and some no-oak wine in the blend keeps the freshness in front. Contains 20% Malbec and 2% Syrah.
