Domaine Guiberteau is crafting some of Saumur’s most compelling whites, reds, and rosés. The 2015 Domaine Guiberteau Les Arboises Cabernet Franc opens with a delicate bouquet of spiced cherry, licorice, pencil lead, and forest aromas. On the palate, it is broad and deep with a subtle herbal edge reminiscent of Earl Grey tea and green peppercorn, complemented by an opulent core of red and black fruit. Impeccably balanced with silky tannins and a polished quality, this red wine can easily cellar for ten-plus years. Enjoy it with spicy Thai food or some excellent chèvre.
