This venerable Napa Valley brand that has passed through many iterations may have lost some of its cachet, but let’s not overlook that this is a very nice wine at a very nice price. Neither Burgundian nor buttery, the wine has somewhat intense spicy apple and preserved fruit flavors, a moderately full body, and a crisp finish. One could do worse for an everyday white.
