From the volcanic islands that lie just north of Sicily’s eastern end, this white is quite fragrant in the nose, as you might expect from Malvasia, but not overly fruity on the palate. Not that there isn’t plenty of fruit, but it a refreshing green, with a medium body and – yes – some minerality followed by nice acidity for a crisp finish.
