The 2019 Veritas Sequitur Syrah presents a textbook-dense, dark purple-ruby core in the glass. It features an archetypal Syrah aroma and flavor profile: crushed cherry, purple plums, juicy blackberry blend with savory notes of minerals, licorice, baking spices, pepper, olive tapenade, and smoky, loamy earth. The wine offers a focused and fresh experience, with succulent acidity and a mineral tension that dances with purity and grace. The very long finish delivers savory, umami notes and stony minerality. It will continue to improve over the next 10 years and should drink well for the next 15-plus years.
