Mendes & Symington, Vinho Verde (Portugal) Alvarhino 2023

 After expanding out of their Douro home base (both Ports and Douro table wines) to the south to Alentejo, the Symington family in 2023 went north along the Atlantic in this partnership with Alselmo Mendes, who makes the wine from a Symington vineyard.  It is very approachable and straight-forward with green fruitiness, especially lime, and some light tannins at the edges.
