Flora Springs Winery, Napa Valley (California) 2023

 This is one of the more interesting and enjoyable recent vintages of this venerable Napa Valley blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Mavasia and Chardonnay – beautiful flavors riding on a firm structure.  The wine is floral and moderately spicy with only slight hints of green fruits and a long aftertaste.  Napa Valley whites not named Chardonnay are increasingly catching up in quality with Bordeaux’s Left Bank.
