Always a bold offering, this vintage of the Renegade is all you want in a lusty red wine. Aromas and flavors of black fruit, meat, singed orange zest and oodles of oak char are carefully knit together in a way that makes each element apparent. This will certainly find lots of fans, particularity if a Santa Maria style Tri-Tip steak is involved. I have been doing mine on a rotisserie — give it a spin! It contains 83% Syrah, 14% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec.
