Fiona Mak worked her way up the wine biz ladder and founded SMAK in 2018. Based in Walla Walla, SMAK is a Rosé specialist. She presents Rosé as a wine to enjoy year-round and creates a Rosé for the different seasons. Her Spring Rosé was made from Sangiovese and the Autumn will be from Syrah. For this Summer version, she reached out to the Columbia Valley for Pinot Gris. With just a light blush of color, the wine offers lots of watermelon and subtle strawberry aromatics. The palate feel is round and full, with flavors that are deliciously fruity with strawberry and mango leading the way. A touch of citrus highlights the delicate finish. Great way to enjoy the rest of the summer.
