The Central Coast designation is used here since the fruit is a mix from cool climate vineyards in Edna Valley and a warmer site in Paso Robles’ Estrella District on the eastside of Highway 101. Full throttle Circus Peanut (yes, the orange marshmallow candy) aromas will attract a crowd here, and the lively nectarine – skin on – and pithy fruit character on the palate will hold them tight. It manages to carry a little briny ocean spray that deepens the fruit. The net result is a ripe, viscous style that will excel at poolside sipping, or give it a go where you might usually opt for a rosé. Either way, this will satisfy.
