This is a special blend from the Third Growth house of Moulin D’Issan. It is a very charming, approachable blend of 90 % Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyard plots in the Bordeaux Superieur AOC. It was aged 14 months in French oak, 25% new. It is beautifully balanced with rich black fruit flavors, lifted by crisp acidity and finishes with smooth as silk tannins. The vineyard that borders the path leading to Chateau d’Issan is located in the Bordeaux Superieur AOC. It is named from a 17th Century windmill, now in ruins.
