This new project in Lodi touts zero sugar, zero carbs wines, which means no residual sugar is left at the end of fermentation, or, put another way, means that the wine is completely “dry.” If you’re like me, rule number one is that none of this matters if the wine doesn’t taste good. This one does. Though labeled “White Wine” it screams its 100% Vermentino character from the rim through the finish, with vibrant notes of lemon, chamomile, and mild herbs. Lively and long on the palate, it delivers all the elements promised by the nose with a dash of pith added. If the zeroes get your attention, fine, but the character definitely will. Nicely done!
