“Pearl” is the winery’s showcase Cabernet Sauvignon and this 2020 can go up against the best from Paso and indeed from Napa Valley. Blended with 5% Petit Verdot, it was aged for 23 months in 100% new French oak. It opens quickly with classic Cabernet aromas of blackberry, pencil lead, dried herbs, and toasted oak. Plush and mouth filling, it has lovely black currant and juicy fruit flavors with a hint of black olive, oak, and dusty tannins. Multi-layered, it is solidly structured and will definitely evolve and approach its peak around 2030. 956 cases made.
