Rosenblum Cellars, Contra Costa County (California) Del Barba Vineyard Zinfandel 2019 ($40)

This region has some of the oldest vineyards in California, and some great Zinfandel sites lay among them. In this late release, the pepper character prized by Zin lovers really sings alongside taut, brambly berry fruit complete with the bushy characteristics. Long and food friendly, this finds a proper balance point and will please fans from all side of the Zinfandel spectrum.
