This is a juicy and bright red from the southern coast of Sicily. Frappato is the native grape of the area and yields delicious and easy drinking reds like this one. The Nicosia Sabbie di Sutta is a pretty and perfumed example of Frappato vinified entirely in stainless steel. The bouquet is redolent of tart cherries and strawberries with hints of black cherry, rose and black pepper. Lively and bright on the palate, the juicy red and black fruits are followed by subtle floral, herbal, and savory spice tones. Enjoy it with a slight chill to enhance the bright fruit.
