Brooks is a family owned winery survived by founder Jimi Brooks’ son, Pascal. Among their many successes, Brooks’ Rieslings have consistently received outstanding scores and have successfully competed internationally. Their Willamette Valley Riesling is bone dry with clear minerality, notes recalling tart green apples, and a notable “petrol” aspect. While this wine certainly has potential for aging, I would recommend cellaring one of Brooks’ single vineyard options and saving this for an evening where your meal demands the extra acidity.
