If you like your Cabernet Sauvignonn on the dark and brooding side, this is a fine example of the style. The nose shows some charred oak and crushed rock mineral notes, and a little deeper digging reveals rich black fruit. All those elements present themselves as palate flavors, with good integration from start to finish. It will pair well with a hard-seared cut of beef. Also contains 18% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot.
