This 2014 is a big improvement over the previous vintage, with complementary rather than overt green tones joining deep blackberry, black cherry, gentle pepper and bay leaf aromas and flavors. If this is an indicator of the vintage in the Verona area, I’m excited to see the rest. Of course, if they don’t make it here, this will do just fine.
