Alpha Estate, Florina (Amyndeon , Greece) Malagouzia 2018

 Malagouzia is an aromatic and full-bodied white grown mostly northern Greece.  Alpha Estate is a top producer in Amyndeon and particularly in the Florina subregion.  The 2018 bottling continues a string of successful harvests for Alpha Estate.  Their 2018 Malagouzia is drawn entirely from the Turtles Vineyard — a higher altitude site that yields grapes of great intensity.  It is a luscious sensory experience for those new to native Greek grapes.  Its rich aromas of peach, ripe apple and tropical fruits are enhanced by linden flower, herb and citrus peel hints.  The flavors are exotic and appealing with the luscious peach and mango fruits backed by delicate floral, herb and citrus peel tones.
