Vignoles is a high acid, high sugar grape, and to me has a slightly fishy edge that serves as a calling card — not in an off-putting way, just a very different way. The acidity is huge here, and though the wine carries a fair amount of residual sugar the bright orange, lemon and white peach flavors minimize any sea character nicely. I would give this a spin with oysters for a unique twist.
