This wine is consistently outstanding, but I cannot recall a better rendition than this one from 2010. Crafted from 47% Carmenère, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Syrah, it shows a notably Chilean character with whiffs of cedar and dried herbs on the nose, but backs those up with deep, rich, flavors that prove extremely satisfying without every turning ponderous or heavy. Notable acidity lends inner energy and drive to the wine, which is very tastefully oaked. Already terrific, this will only get better for at least another five years.
