This lovely wine, with a splash of Semillon joining the Sauvignon, spent 11 months sur lie in concrete eggs and mixed oak barrels and then rested another 18 months in the bottle. It’s essentially a very lovely, slightly savory Sauvignon, very rich in texture and flavors, mainly of rounded apple fruits and mellow barrel notes – obviously a wine very enjoyable now but one that could enjoy much more time in the bottle.
