A blend of primarily Merlot and Cabernet Franc, so modeled on wines from Bordeaux’s right bank, this wine tastes soft and rich, with red and black fruit flavors, a whiff of vanilla from oak aging, and echoes of sweet spices in the finish. It is very much a wine for folks who like a hint of something sweet in their wines.
