I have been a fan of this wine since its first vintage, and the heralded 2021 crop may have delivered the best one yet. There is real depth of fruit character here, with blackberry and currants accented by soft vanilla and bright spice that doesn’t overtake the fruit. The seductive texture on entry gets your attention, and the structure keeps the finish pumping flavor. Like many of the top tier 2021s this is delicious now and has a reasonably long life ahead of it. Also contains 15.4% Merlot, 7.4% Merlot and 7.3% Malbec.
