In 2019, Avennia introduced Lydian as its line of entry level, value for the money wines. And this 2021 GSM is definitely a good value. A blend of 56% Grenache, 28% Syrah, and 16% Mourvèdre, it offers lively cherry fruit but has just enough complexity to be a versatile food companion. Along with the ripe cherry, the wine delivers flavors of dried herbs along with hints of earthiness and white pepper. Smooth on the palate with lively flavors and gentle tannin, it is a solid, delicious GSM rendition for current enjoyment.
