Avignonesi, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Tuscany, Italy) 2011

Mar 10, 2014

By Robert Whitley

Pound for pound, the Vino Nobile consistently delivers the best value in Tuscan red wine. And Avignonesi has for decades been the region’s top producer and greatest ambassador. The 2011 is beautifully balanced, shows slightly tart bing cherry fruit and a note of dried herbs, and is nicely structured, with firm acidity and fine, smooth tannins.
