B. Wise, Fort Ross-Seaview (Sonoma County, California) Nobles Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 ($75)

Proprietor Brion Wise apparently loves variety, making reds, whites, rosés and bubblies sourced from California, Oregon, Champagne and stops in between. This one is a silky white, but one of substance, with tart green flavors, mainly of apples and a touch of citrus. Mâcon would be the closest parallel from the Motherland.
