From his family vineyard established in 1899, Michel Bedouet has been farming the family’s 30 acres of vineyards organically since 2010. For the fermentation, he uses naturally occurring yeast. The “Le Domaine” bottling is his entry level version. This 100% Melon de Bourgogne is a fine example of why Muscadet is a perfect companion for seafood. It is crisp with vibrant melon and citrus aromas, and it is medium bodied, firm, with light yeasty and refreshing green fruit and melon flavors. A lemon zest note in the aftertaste adds to its ideal pairing with seafood, especially oysters.
