A modern-styled wine, meaning rich and ripe, this Tuscan beauty still manages to stay true to its origin and to itself, offering aromas and flavors that seem unmistakably Italian–dried even more than fresh (in this case, cherry) fruit, spicy undertones, and a dry, almost dusty finish. The wine has plenty of life left in it, and may even become more compelling with a few years of cellaring, but it is extremely enjoyable right now, its contemporary style rendering it fully ready to drink.
