A southern Italian grape generally thought of as a blending component, Caprettone appears to have found a fine home in Oregon’s Rogue Valley. This bottle shows fresh citrus, stony minerality, floral tones and a little spice note with a pithy finish that doesn’t detract from the retronasal floral impression. Count me as a fan!
