Benito Santos, Monterrei DO (Galicia, Spain) Godello 2018

 This pale straw-colored, 100 percent Godello opens with a fragrant and appealing bouquet of crushed stone, pithy citrus, and white flowers.  It is loaded with lemon peel, white blossom, stone fruit, fresh grass, salty sea air, and honey.  The flavors are buttressed by lively acidity that leads to a long and persistent finish.  Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc aficionados should give this one a try.
