This isn’t quite as complex as Castillo Viejo’s blend of Tannat and Cab Franc, but it shows even more depth and drive, with dark toned fruit and lots of tannin and acidity. Not a wine for stand-alone sipping, this is serious stuff best paired with grilled meat, and once tasted with cheese or a steak, you’ll find this complete and convincing.
