Founded in 2002, the Virgen del Galir winery and its 20-hectare vineyard are located in a small village in Galicia. Aged for seven months in large casks, this Godello is light straw in color and lively in its aroma which is primarily stone fruits with notes of chalk and citrus. The flavors combine mineral and peach with a touch of yeastiness and herbs. In overall style, this is a medium-bodied, elegant white which charms rather than overwhelms you. The crisp finish suggests it be enjoyed with your favorite shellfish dish.
